Prescriptions are covered under Supplemental (Part D) and many Medicare Advantage Plans (Part C). Call your specific plan to make sure HUMIRA is covered. Here’s more about the two plans.
Prescription coverage is available to everyone with Medicare, but you must enroll in one of the following:
Medicare Advantage (Part C) is a coverage option to Medicare Part A and Part B, both of which do not cover prescriptions. It allows private health care plans to provide benefits that may cover the cost of prescriptions—depending on the plan.
Supplemental (Part D) is a stand-alone prescription drug plan that’s added to your Medicare Part A and Part B benefits to cover medications, such as HUMIRA.
